A Legacy That Lives in Every Visit Case Veterinary Hospital
Some veterinary hospitals build their reputation over time. Case Veterinary Hospital has carried it forward for more than a century.
What began in 1909 as a small, family-run practice has grown into a cornerstone of veterinary care in Savannah, without losing the sense of responsibility that comes with serving generations of pets and the people who love them. Today, that legacy continues through a team committed to thoughtful medicine, clear communication, and a standard of care shaped by decades of experience.
Here at Case Veterinary Hospital, we’re proud to have built our reputation and relationships for more than a century, and we can’t wait to serve our community for another hundred-plus years.
Four Generations, One Purpose
Case Veterinary Hospital is not just family-owned — it’s family-carried.
Dr. Carla Case McCorvey, the current owner, represents the fourth generation of veterinarians in her family, following in the footsteps of her father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. That continuity shapes the way care is delivered every day.
There’s a deeper level of accountability that comes with that kind of history. Decisions are made with long-term relationships in mind, not short-term outcomes. Many of the clients who walk through the doors today have trusted our animal hospital for years, and in some cases, across generations of their own families.
AAHA-Accredited Since 1982
Not all veterinary hospitals are held to the same standards.
Case Veterinary Hospital has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1982, a distinction earned by only a small percentage — fewer than 15%! — of practices in North America. This accreditation reflects a commitment to meeting strict guidelines in areas such as patient care, anesthesia protocols, surgical standards, medical equipment, and staff training.
AAHA accreditation isn’t a one-time achievement. It requires regular evaluations to ensure those standards continue to be met. For pet owners, it offers added confidence that their pet is receiving care aligned with some of the highest benchmarks in veterinary medicine.
A Calmer Approach to Veterinary Care
Veterinary visits can be stressful for pets. That’s why Case Veterinary Hospital takes a low-stress approach to handling and care.
With several Silver Low Stress Handling Certified professionals on our team, our entire staff focuses on techniques that help reduce fear, anxiety, and discomfort during visits. This includes thoughtful handling, a quieter environment, and adapting each visit to the individual pet.
A calmer experience doesn’t just make visits easier; it allows for more accurate exams and a better overall experience for both pets and their owners.
Recognized by the Savannah Community
Case Veterinary Hospital has been named a Best of Savannah award winner for 15 years and counting, a recognition driven by the local community. These awards reflect consistent experiences, strong relationships, and the level of care clients have come to expect over time.
For a practice that has served Savannah for more than a century, that kind of continued recognition carries real meaning.
