The Benefits of Professional Grooming for Your Pet
Regular grooming helps maintain your pet’s comfort and can prevent small issues from becoming bigger concerns.
Professional grooming may be especially helpful if your pet:
-
Has a thick or heavy coat that traps debris and moisture
-
Sheds frequently or develops undercoat buildup
-
Is prone to matting or tangling
-
Has skin sensitivities that benefit from specialized shampoos
-
Needs regular nail trims or ear cleaning
-
Is difficult to bathe or groom at home
Routine grooming can also help identify early skin concerns, parasites, or changes in coat condition, especially when done consistently.
Dog and Cat Grooming Services We Offer
Case Veterinary Hospital provides a range of grooming and bathing services for dogs, along with medically necessary grooming for cats.
Bathing Services
Our canine bathing appointments are one of the most popular options and include a hydro-surge massage bath, followed by hand drying, brushing, ear cleaning, and nail trimming. Most bath visits have an approximate four-hour turnaround time.
We use high-quality shampoos and conditioners, with medicated or specialty shampoos available when recommended for skin conditions.
Basic Grooming
Basic grooming includes bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming of sanitary areas and paw pads. This service keeps dogs clean and comfortable without full coat styling.
Full Grooming
Full grooming services, including breed-specific or puppy cuts, are available. These appointments include a full bath, haircut (clipper and/or scissor work), nail trim, and ear cleaning.
Due to high demand, our groomer currently maintains a waitlist and is not accepting new full grooming clients at this time.
Additional Dog Grooming Services
We also offer the following services for dogs:
- Nail trimming
- Ear cleaning
- Anal gland expression (upon request)
- Tooth brushing during grooming visits
- De-shedding/carding treatments to reduce excess undercoat
- De-matting services when needed (additional time-based fee may apply)
For pets who are anxious, wiggly, or require extra time, a handling fee may be added. In some cases, sedation may be recommended and is only performed under veterinary supervision with your approval.
Cat Grooming Services
Many cats manage most of their grooming at home, but some need extra support from our veterinary team. For felines, we offer nail trims and nail cap applications to help keep their paws comfortable and protected.
When a cat needs a shave-down, we treat it as a medical grooming procedure rather than a traditional grooming appointment. These shaves are performed by a veterinary technician and are typically recommended for concerns such as severe matting, skin irritation, hygiene issues, or discomfort caused by tangled fur.
Because full shave-downs can be stressful for cats, sedation is sometimes the safest and most comfortable option. Before a sedated medical shave, we typically require lab work to make sure your cat is healthy enough for sedation.
Help Your Pet Look and Feel Great
At Case Veterinary Hospital, we focus on providing reliable grooming support that fits your pet’s needs. While full grooming services are currently limited due to high demand, our team is still here to help with bathing, nail trims, and routine care that keep your pet comfortable between appointments.
